Question: In what ways have attitudes towards First Nations peoples in Canada changed or stayed the same?
Answer: The ways that attitude towards First Nations peoples held by European people have changed in New France is when the French first came to New France they were trying to put the First Nations peoples into a larger group and make them the same, in other words, assimilate the First Nations and make them convert to the Christian religion. But efforts at assimilation were not successful so in the 1670's the French accepted the differences between the First Nations and the French.
